Teal and Trout Update 2018

Unfortunately our tractor broke down and after investigating all options, decided it was not economically viable to repair and decided to acquire another one. Our preferred option was to acquire a decent second-hand one. Unfortunately we were unable to find an appropriate one and were left with no option other than acquiring a new one. We were very fortunate in that we acquired a 4x4 Landini in November for the price of a 2x4 as no stock of these models were available in South Africa. This resulted in us purchasing a brand new tractor that should last us for many years

Fishing

With improved fishing on the estate, we plan to do 4 stockings in 2018 each of approximately 200kg of fish.

The first stocking is planned for March, the next stocking is planned for June/July and will be brown trout, then the 3rd stocking will be a trophy stocking, and the 4th stocking will be done just before December at the end of the year.

A reminder to all Home Owners, please remember to fill in your catch forms on the back of your gate pass, this helps us plan future stockings and get a clearer indication of the state of the fishing on the estate.
